Terms of Service
Effective: July 11, 2026
1. Who we are and what you're agreeing to
PostIdea (postidea.app, the "Service") is operated by an individual proprietor based in Karachi, Pakistan ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms — including the Acceptable Use Policy in Section 8 — and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. The Service
PostIdea turns a rough product idea into a structured specification, an architecture with reviewable decisions, and a statement of work, and can verify submitted code changes against a locked specification. The Service is under active development: features may change, be added, or be removed. We will not remove your ability to access your own content without notice.
4. Your account
Keep your credentials secure and your account information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@postidea.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Your content and ownership
You own your ideas, conversations, specifications, architectures, SOWs, and any code you submit. We claim no rights to your content beyond what's needed to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you — including transmitting it to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI provider is contractually prohibited from doing so.
6. AI-generated output
Specifications, architecture decisions, cost and effort estimates, risk scores, and other generated output are produced by AI models. They are informational, not professional advice. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and may resemble output generated for other users. You are responsible for evaluating any output before relying on it, and for anything you build or decide based on it.
7. Verification reports
Verification reports are produced by automated signal matching and optional advisory AI review. A report is not an audit, a certification, a legal opinion, or a determination that any party has met or breached any contractual obligation. PostIdea is not a party to any agreement between you and your clients or contractors and takes no position in any dispute. You are solely responsible for any use of a report in a commercial disagreement. You represent that you have the right to submit any code you upload for verification.
8. Acceptable use
Most of the following is enforced in the product itself. When you use the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service to specify, design, or verify malware, exploits, credential stealers, or other software intended to damage systems or harm people.
- Submit code, specifications, or other content you do not own or have authorization to use — this matters most for verification, where submitting a client's or employer's code without the right to do so is your breach (see Section 7).
- Attempt to inject instructions into prompts (for example, hiding directives in a code diff to skew a verification verdict), extract system prompts, or otherwise manipulate or reverse-engineer the AI models behind the Service.
- Scrape the Service, circumvent rate limits or concurrency controls, or run automation that degrades the Service for others. Using the published API from the VS Code extension is fine; hammering endpoints is not.
- Resell, sublicense, or share account access without our written agreement.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, attempt to access other users' data, or probe or attack our infrastructure. Good-faith security research under our responsible disclosure policy is welcome and is not a violation.
AI features are provided through Groq, so your use must also comply with Groq's AI Policy; where these Terms are stricter, these Terms apply. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section — with prior warning where practical, and without warning for serious violations (harmful software, attacks on the platform, or attempts to reach other users' data).
9. Fees, billing, and cancellation
The Service is currently free during early access. When paid plans launch, purchases and subscriptions will be processed by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem is the seller of record for those transactions: its checkout terms govern the purchase itself and it handles billing, taxes, and refunds. These Terms continue to govern your use of the Service. Pricing will be published before any charge is made.
You will be able to cancel a subscription at any time directly from the Service, through a link to the Creem customer portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. (These billing and cancellation mechanisms activate when paid plans launch; during free early access there is nothing to bill or cancel.)
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers (listed in the Privacy Policy), including our AI provider. Their availability affects ours; we are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services, though we will work to mitigate them.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app; deletion removes your data immediately and cascadingly. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if required by law. Where practical, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your content.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you submit without the rights to do so (including code submitted for verification in breach of Section 7) or from your material breach of these Terms.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect no sooner than 30 days after we post them and notify you in the app or by email; other changes take effect when posted. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and prior versions remain available at /legal/archive/. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Courts located in Karachi, Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction. When paid plans launch, the purchase itself will additionally be governed by the checkout terms of Creem, our merchant of record.
